Privileged areas of accumulation Overview of the analysis of the case of Argentina (1976-1989)

The article presents the concepts of Privileged Spaces/areas of Accumulation, a category which is crucial for understanding the nature of the articulation among state intervention, corporate behavior, and the performance of big corporations in Argentina. Likewise, it proposes a theoretical-methodological approach to analyze this complex process in the recent history of the country. Finally, there is a summary of the main results from the empirical research related to the expansion of these privileged areas between 1976 and 1989-quoting one case in particular: The expansion generated after the peripheral privatization of the state oil company YPF.En el artículo se presenta la noción de ámbito privilegiado de acumulación, una categoría que consideramos crucial para entender la naturaleza de la articulación entre intervención económica estatal, acción empresaria y desempeño de los grandes agentes económicos de la Argentina. Asimismo, se propone un abordaje teórico-metodológico para analizar este complejo proceso en la historia reciente. Finalmente, se resumen los principales resultados de la indagación empírica relacionada con la difusión de estos ámbitos entre 1976 y 1989, y del modo de funcionamiento de uno de ellos en particular: el generado en torno a la privatización periférica de la petrolera estatal YPF
