This present article represents a proposal about personal competences development for knowledge learning in in primary health care based on the experience of highly complex health organizations in order to to encourage awareness in health´s personnel who trains in continuing medical education. Findings on training during three years (2007 - 2009) demonstrate the need to restructure the curriculum, implement and apply unconventional strategies such as: learning by performance, reflective practice, improvement plans and unlearning to learn as instructional strategies in the training system.
