Los paisajes culturales de agras en Galicia y su dinámica evolutiva

The aim of this research is the analysis of the dynamics of traditional agrarian landscapes with agras field system in Galicia, so as to provide new insights on their historical-cultural value and on their spatio-temporal distribution. On the one hand, the agras field system was very dynamic, as in the past agras occupied larger areas in the region. On the other hand, we observed that despite agricultural evolution, agras showed strong inertia, as they have preserved their functionality for several centuries until the second half of the twentieth century. From this period onwards, the destructuring and loss of functionality of agras has been observed. Decline was favoured by demographic retreat and changes in the agricultural productive system. Nevertheless, we have observed a significant persistence of the agras structure, of its traditional knowledge and toponymy.El objetivo de esta investigación es el análisis de la dinámica de los paisajes agrarios tradicionales con estructuras de agras en Galicia, con el fin de aportar datos sobre su valor históricocultural, y su distribución espacio-temporal. Se ha observado por una parte su dinamismo, en cuanto a que en el pasado las agras ocuparon áreas más extensas en la región, y por otra parte su inercia, puesto que a pesar de la evolución de la sociedad agraria, han conservado su funcionalidad a lo largo de varios siglos hasta la segunda mitad del siglo XX. A partir de este periodo se inicia la desestructuración y pérdida de funcionalidad generalizada de las agras, favorecida por la regresión demográfica y como resultado de los cambios en el sistema productivo agrario.
