Nowadays Arendt´s thought is a fundamental criterion in what refers to politics and her writing confirms her effort to understand reality. Totalitarianism is the framework of reference for the reflections of the Jewish-German philosopher. Nevertheless, her proposals vindicate politics if we understand it as agreements, as beginnings where speech and freedom are integral parts of the public sphere. The public sphere is where there is an attempt to create the dignity of politics that totalitarianism profoundly perverted.
