University professors� educational role is a controversial matter. This paper presents professor as mediators that must be qualified in their field and enthusiastic about their teaching experience. Professors are meant to be intellectual complexity estimulators, significative learning facilitators, team working believers, critical thinkers, committed professionals and culture transmitters. Adequate professors training is required in order to achieve all above-mentioned goals, and to allow professors to develop both as teachers and as researchers.
