Aspectos psicológicos, sociales y jurídicos del desplazamiento forzoso en Colombia

This research study attempts to describe the psychological, social, and legal aspects related to forced displacement as a result of the internal conflict in Colombia. A qualitative study was conducted based on the design of the hermeneutic circle combined with the quantitative descriptive research. The investigation counted with fifty families who have moved to Bogotá as a result of the internal conflict. The families were represented by the head of the family, one of the members of the couple or another adult of the family who had been in charge of the family group. Data were gathered by means of questionnaires to inquire about: demography, social aspects, and stressful events. Participant observation, field notes, and structured interviews were also used. Data were analyzed quantitatively with a scale for stressful events finding that the most stressful aspects are cognitive, social, job related, and ways of facing the situation. As for the qualitative analysis, findings suggest that psychological changes arise in the schemes, ways of facing the situation, personal identity, response to stress and an adaptation to the environment. Social changes are evidenced in the support networks, in the family structure and in job related activities. Finally, at the legal level, in some cases, there is a loss of identity. Refugees do not know the laws that protect them and the programs they legally benefit them.La investigación tuvo como objetivo describir los aspectos psicológicos, sociales y jurídicos del desplazamiento forzoso como consecuencia de la violencia en Colombia. Se utilizó una metodología cualitativa combinada con la investigación cuantitativa descriptiva. Se contó con cincuenta familias representada por la pareja jefe de hogar, uno de los dos miembros de la pareja u otro adulto integrante de la familia y que hubiesen estado a cargo del grupo familiar desplazado por la violencia y que actualmente residan en la ciudad de Bogotá. Para la recolección de información se utilizó un cuestionario de datos sociodemográficos, un cuestionario de eventos estresantes, una entrevista en profundidad, la observación participante y los diarios de campo. Los resultados de la investigación a nivel cuantitativo evidenciaron que en las áreas laboral, social, cognitiva y estilo de afrontamiento del cuestionario de eventos estresantes son las que mayor reacción presentan y a nivel cualitativo, se encontró que en el aspecto psicológico se presentan cambios en los esquemas, estilos de afrontamiento, identidad personal, respuestas de estrés y adaptación al medio; en el aspecto social hay cambios en las redes de apoyo, estructura familiar y actividades laborales y en el aspecto jurídico en algunos casos hay pérdida de identidad, desconocimiento de las leyes y de los programas que los benefician
