It has been shown that movement is the foundation of physical and psychological maturity in humans, hence the importance of acquiring a good psychomotor development. Research has confirmed that psychomotor development in individuals with Down syndrome is much slower than in typically developing children. The aim of this study is to show how psychomotor practice, through the implementation of a programme of psychomotor intervention, improves the level of body structuring and phonological skills of this population.
