The University must maintain a professional relationship with the demand of the companies by research labor. The aim of this study is to analyze the scientific production of the Spanish public and private universities. The paper analyzes how it would affect the entry of a new university in the ranking of Spanish public and private universities. For this study, it is used a methodology based on advanced econometric models, the application in the study of a prediction model to determine the effect of the entry in the ranking of a new university.
