This paper analyzes the role of translation in the new scenario created by the emergence of digital media. The Internet has become a privileged instrument for social communication in the twenty-first century. All the major media have created digital editions and they coexist on the Net with new media that have tapped the rise of cyberspace and opportunities for participation offered by Web 0.2.
