Fruits from Nigeria are classified by principal component analyses (PCAs) of proximates and minerals, and plants cluster analyses (CAs), which agree. Samples group into three classes. Compositional PCA and fruit CA allow classification and concur. The first axis explains 39%, the first two, 59%, the first three, 73% variance. Moisture and K contents are high; ash and carbohydrate, low. Fruit behaviour depends on ash, fibre and K.
