The article describes the scientific bases for a non-toxic, effective and inexpensive a lternative for the treatment and prevention of AIDS, using nutritional therapy as a central tool. lt describes with details the nutritional immunology, the nutritional and antioxidant deficiencies of HIV-positive individuals as well as people with AIDS, the role of nutritional deficiencies in the progression of HIV-positive individual into AIDS, the role of nutritional deficiencies in the so-called "transmission" of HIV/AIDS, the role of nutritional deficiencies in the pathogenesis of AlOS, and the scientific bases for a nutritional and antioxidant therapy for the treatment and prevention of AIDS.Se describen los fundamentos científicos para una alternativa no tóxica, efectiva y barata para el tratamiento y la prevención del SIDA utilizando como arma central la terapia nutricional.
