El patrimonio cultural: el trabajo realizado en España y los desafíos para su aplicación en la ciudad de Valparaíso, Chile

But the big difference is the type of heritage education promoted In this communication, we discuss the current state of the heritage of Valparaíso, the main proposals developed in the subject, the general deficiencies exist with regard to: economic policies, including teaching in museums, the role of culture in offices municipalities, educational work and the limited role that has had the political and educational development and assessment of the good of humanity. Also, will these issues in relation to progress in this area has Spain, the challenges faced today, and see the possibilities of achieving them in Chile, in order to generate debate around the need for all generations value their own history and cultural heritage that they are present.La ciudad de Valparaíso de Chile, fue declarada el 02 de julio de 2003, Patrimonio de la humanidad. El privilegio de esta designación implicó el reconocimiento oficial y universal de que este bien constituye una riqueza de gran significado para toda la humanidad. Este hecho movilizó a las autoridades chilenas en la destinación de recursos para la restauración de los espacios, edificios históricos de la ciudad, tal como en España se ha hecho. Sin embargo, la gran diferencia radica en el tipo de educación patrimonial promovida. ! En lo que sigue, analizaremos el estado actual del patrimonio de Valparaíso, las principales propuestas llevadas a cabo en el tema, las deficiencias generales existentes en cuanto a: políticas públicas patrimoniales, inclusión didáctica en los museos, el rol de las oficinas de cultura en los municipios, el trabajo didáctico y el escaso rol que ha tenido el ámbito político y educativo en el desarrollo y valoración de este bien de la humanidad. Además, pondremos estos aspectos en relación con los avances que en esta materia posee España, los desafíos que hoy se plantean, y veremos las posibilidades de realización de ellos en Chile, con el fin de generar un debate en torno a la necesidad de que todas las generaciones valoren su propia historia y la herencia cultural que en ella está presente
