Powder metallurgy is an effective method to make pieces of ferritic stainless steel. Boron promotes the formation of liquid phase during sintering at 1174oC. The boron content ranged from 0.9-1.2 in weight and ferrochromium was added prevent lost of chromium. The samples were compacted to 700MPa and the sintering was made at 1150 oC, during 60 min under hydrogen atmosphere. Density values were determined by the Archimedes method, and the samples were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy. When the boron content was of 1.2%, the density reached a value of 7.02 g·cm-3 noticing a diminution of porosity level, also.
