Similitud en la predicción de riesgo ecológico entre el software Gecotox® y biomarcadores en Gambusia Punctata (Poeciliidae)

The aim of this study was to evaluate the similarity for prediction of ecological risk between GECOTOX® software and biomarkers in the species Gambusia punctata, given the residual pollutant load. The study was conducted from July to December 2013. The prediction of GECOTOX ® was referred to the variables of source characterization, physicochemical properties, ecotoxicological effects and environmental treatment. G. punctata were sampled under natural conditions, measuring the coefficient of biological condition, reproduction and bioaccumulation of metals. The coefficient of biological condition referred to the weight-length relationship, reproduction to the number of fry and juveniles and females within the incubator chamber. The metals analyzed were copper, zinc, lead and cadmium. The similarity to the prediction of ecological risk was referred to the mathematical foundations of arithmetic progression. GECOTOX® indicated as the source characterization, with a prediction of medium risk for being a continual residual point source emission. For the number and amount of physical - chemical parameters, the prediction of risk was high for the few parameters found in the standard. There was a high risk prediction for ecotoxicological effects according to the median effective and lethal concentration values, while the environmental treatment of high risk prediction indicated the absence of any treatment, finally throwing, and predicting high risk for multifunctional interaction between variables. Low coefficients of biological condition were encountered by the low weight and size of individuals, decreased due to the low number of juveniles, and juveniles and females with incubator chamber reproduction and bioaccumulation of metals. It was concluded that there was similarity in the prediction of ecological risk between GECOTOX® software and biomarkers of G. punctata, which indicated that the residual pollutant load had high probability of environmental damage eventually thereby affecting the biology of the species.El objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar la similitud para la predicción de riesgo ecológico entre el software GECOTOX® y biomarcadores en la especie Gambusia punctata, dada la carga contaminante residual. El estudio se realizó de julio a diciembre de 2013. La predicción de GECOTOX® estuvo referida a las variables: caracterización de la fuente, propiedades físicoquímicas, efectos ecotoxicológicos y tratamiento ambiental. Luego se muestreó la especie G. punctata en condiciones naturales, midiéndose el coeficiente de condición biológica, reproducción y bioacumulación de metales. El coeficiente de condición biológica fue referido a la relación peso-talla, la reproducción por el número de juveniles y alevines, así como hembras con cámara incubatriz. Los metales analizados fueron cobre, zinc, plomo y cadmio. La similitud para la predicción de riesgo ecológico fue referida a los fundamentos matemáticos de la progresión aritmética. GECOTOX® indicó según la caracterización de la fuente, predicción de riesgo medio por ser una fuente puntual con emisión continúa residual. Para el número y cantidad de parámetros físico-químicos, la predicción de riesgo fue alta por los pocos parámetros encontrados en norma. Fue alta la predicción de riesgo para los efectos ecotoxicológicos según los valores de concentración efectiva y letal media, mientras que el tratamiento ambiental, indicó predicción de riesgo alto al no existir tratamiento alguno, arrojándose finalmente, predicción de riesgo alto para la interacción multifuncional entre las variables. Se encontró coeficientes de condición biológicos bajos por el poco peso y talla de los individuos, reproducción disminuida debido al bajo número de individuos juveniles, alevines y hembras con cámara incubatriz, así como bioacumulación de metales. Se concluyó que existió similitud en la predicción de riesgo ecológico entre el software GECOTOX® y biomarcadores de la G. punctata, donde se indicó que la carga contaminante residual, tuvo elevada probabilidad de daños ambientales afectándose finalmente la biología de la especie
