The aim of this study was to evaluate the similarity for prediction of ecological risk between GECOTOX® software and biomarkers in the species Gambusia punctata, given the residual pollutant load. The study was conducted from July to December 2013. The prediction of GECOTOX ® was referred to the variables of source characterization, physicochemical properties, ecotoxicological effects and environmental treatment. G. punctata were sampled under natural conditions, measuring the coefficient of biological condition, reproduction and bioaccumulation of metals.
