The article aims to analyze the use of storytelling by the four leading candidates for the French presidential election of 2012. Among them is Jean Luc Mélenchon, candidate of the Front de Gauche that applied in his campaign good strategies of storyline, framing and networking. The candidate revived the ideal of the French Revolution, inviting the electorate to symbolic acts of political participation and using the international context of crisis for a discourse of "Indigné".
