In the international migration scene between Mexico and the United States of America, the present essay describes and analyzes several concepts from Psychology related to individual, family and national identity linking them to transnationality. A typology of Transnational identity styles is proposed and exemplified with narrations and histories that have been obtained in field work with women with migrant relatives that remain in their communities of origin in Michoacan, Mexico. In conclusion, there is not a single type of transnational identity; therefore, their manifestation is different depending on the characteristics of the actors and the circumstances of the migration process, their styles of learning and interrelation.En el escenari...
