Goal: To identify the acquisition of health consciousness in students of last semester of medicine during their training at universities in the city of Barranquilla in 2011. Materials and Methods: A descriptive and quantitative study was performed to three medical programs for the city of Barranquilla, in a total of 167 students in the last half of the program. The information collected inquired about healthy lifestyles, habits of self-care, care of the environment and the feeling of the students have managed to acquire during their training health consciousness.
