The International Continent Society defines urinary incontinence (UI) as a situation in that the involuntary loss of urine through the urethra, provable objectively, generates a social and hygienic problem. It represents a complex pathology and of difficult solution. The impact on the quality of life of the UI is superior to other chronic pathologies,as hypertension or the diabetes; it deteriorates the quality of life, reduces self-esteem, having severe psychological and social repercussions.
