The occupational aides were determined women in a difficult historical time. Despite all the obstacles they have to face when being in the battle field during The First World war, their contribution to the occupational therapy profession and to the recovery of the soldiers were unquestionable. In this paper we describe how both the reconstruction and OT programs were established.
