Pellicer y la prensa de su tiempo

José Pellicer de Tovar's Avisos constitute an important element in the history of the news media in 17th-c. Spain. Being a weekly manuscript news service for the benefit of one or more private clients, the Avisos followed similar lines to the Italian gazettes studied by Mario Infelise. The present study aims to analyse Pellicer's Avisos by setting them against other news media of his time, in particular earlier Spanish gazettes, the series of numbered news letters and the relations attributed to Andrés de Almansa y Mendoza, the French Gazette founded by Théophraste Renaudot, the private correspondence of Quevedo, and the so-called relaciones de sucesos.Los Avisos de José Pellicer de Tovar representan un elemento importante en la historia de la comunicación informativa en la España del siglo XVII. Siendo un servicio manuscrito semanal dirigido a uno o más clientes particulares, los Avisos iban en la misma línea que las gazette italianas estudiadas por Mario Infelise. En el presente trabajo se procura enfocar los Avisos de Pellicer, poniéndolos en relación con otras modalidades noticieras de su época, en particular con gacetas españolas anteriores, con las cartas seriadas y las relaciones atribuidas a Andrés de Almansa y Mendoza, con la Gazette francesa fundada por Théophraste Renaudot, con la correspondencia particular de Quevedo y con las relaciones de sucesos
