This article describes and analyzes the inclusion of the right to maternal health in maternal health policies in Mexico, as well as the scope and limitations of this mean in the last decades of the twentieth century and early twenty-first, due to inequalities among Mexican women. It identifies the different ways in which has been included the right to maternal health from the right to health, sexual and reproductive rights, and maternal mortality, already considered as a violation of human rights. It goes from the demands of feminism and then identifies items that will allow the progress in the fulfillment of these rights in Mexico, particularly, describes three cases over three decades in the state of Chiapas, which can recognize the instr...
