Appreciating the unique archaeological remains found in the hills of Castillo and Allozos of Montejícar, this paper proposes an approach to the development of the settlement of this town of Granada until its conquest by the Catholic Monarchs in 1485. The methodology employed for this purpose lies in exposure and comparison of different knowledge sources, historical, archaeological, and place names, maps and a landscape analysis using the advantages currently provides a GIS. On the basis of currently available information, our argument could be fulfilled in the following question: can we say, especially for the Cerro del Castillo, the existence of a continuous settlement from prehistory to the end of the Middle Ages?Valorando los singulares ...
