El discurso del miedo apocalíptico y sus representaciones cinematográficas durante la Guerra Fría

This article aims to approach the apocalyptic discourse of fear in the culture of masses in the Cold War in the West Civilitation. For this purpose, it will be order the numerous film productions with arguments related to the nuclear power energy. Movies will be grouped in historical periods in trying to understand the presence of apocalyptic fear in the ordinariness of American and European societies. After briefly characterizing the iconography of the discourse of fear,the article will conclude with a personal explanatory hypothesis.El presente artículo pretende acercarse al discurso del miedo apocalíptico vigente en la cultura de masas durante la Guerra Fría en Occidente. Con tal fin, se tratará de ordenar las numerosas producciones cinematográficas con argumentos relacionados con la nueva energía nuclear que, por primera vez en la historia, posibilitó la destrucción real de la humanidad. Se agruparán las películas en fases históricas para intentar comprender la presencia del miedo apocalíptico en la cotidianidad de las sociedades estadounidense y europea. Tras caracterizar brevemente la iconografía del discurso de miedo, el artículo concluirá con una hipótesis personal explicativa
