The low micronutrient availability in flooded soils diminishes rice crop yield potential. In Ospino, Portuguesa State, two experiments were carried out using a random block design with four replications to determine the effect of foliar application of Zn and B on growth, plant physiology, grain yield and both nutrient use efficiency in rice. Basic fertilization was carried out at 20 days after sowing (das) and two nitrogen top dressings at 45 and 65 das. A foliar aspersion of each micronutrient was made in the vegetative phase at 48 das. The treatments in Zn experiment were: T0 = absolute control (0), T1 = 350, T2 = 700, T3 = 1,050 and T4 = 471 g ha-1 and in B one were: 0, 150, 225, 300 and 198 g ha-1.
