This paper presents the development of an autonomous robot for stock handling in warehouses using radiofrequency identification (RFID). Because of the complexity of handling inventories and locating products in large warehousing areas, it was developed a prototype of an autonomous robot for the identification and handling of products and inventory real time updates. The prototype emulates a forklift and is capable of performing autonomous tasks that demand an inventory, carrying loads over a pound on a marked track following a black line with bifurcations.
