Factores asociados al nivel de estrés previo un examen en estudiantes de educación secundaria en cuatro instituciones educativas. Agosto-octubre 2010 - Chiclayo-Perú.

To determine the degree of stress generated previous to an examination in students of secondary of 4 Educative Institutions of Chiclayo. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional analytic study. Was used: Inventory SISCO of Academic Stress, a questionnaire designed in Spanish and validated by Barraza A, with an alpha of Cronbach of 0.90. Sampling calculation sample was realised with: waited for proportion of 86%, precision of 2.5%, level of significance to 95%, obtaining 668 students, distributed with stratified by year of study, proportional for each school, considering a cup rejection error and 20%, distributed with proportional sampling. It was used descriptive statistic with absolute, average frequencies, standard deviation, chi-square also qualitative variables using SPSS v. 18.0. Results: 800 questionnaires, eliminating 80 were applied (10%) to be incomplete or bad fillings. The ages included/understood between 11-18 years, whose the average was of 14.09 ± 1.5 years, being 50.8% of masculine sex, and 50% of national educative institutions. 88.9% presented some level stress to the pretest. Feminine sex I present/display a greater frequency of stress in some of its levels with 46.4% students, in the National I.E I am associated to at least present/display a level of stress with 46.1% (p<0.05) being a greater proportion in the I.E of women with 24.2% of the students. The stress level was deep in 52.8%. Conclusion: The public students of E.I are put under majors' stress levels.Objetivo: Estimar los factores asociados al nivel de estrés previo a un examen en estudiantes de secundaria de 4 Instituciones Educativas de Chiclayo. Materiales y métodos: Estudio analítico transversal. Se utilizó el Inventario SISCO del Estrés Académico, un cuestionario diseñado en español y validado por Barraza A, con un alfa de Cronbach de 0,90. El cálculo muestral se realizó con: proporción esperada de de 86%, precisión de 2,5%, nivel de significancia al 95%, obteniéndose 668 estudiantes, distribuyéndose con muestreo estratificado según año de estudio, proporcional para cada institución educativa, considerándose una taza de error y rechazo del 20%, distribuyéndose con muestreo proporcional. Se usó estadística descriptiva con frecuencias absolutas, medias, desviación estándar, además chi cuadrado para las variables cualitativas usando SPSS v. 18.0. Resultados: Se aplicaron 800 cuestionarios, eliminando 80 (10%) por estar incompletos o mal llenados. Las edades comprendieron entre 11-18 años, cuya la media fue de 14,09 ± 1,5 años, siendo el 50,8% del sexo masculino, y el 50% de instituciones educativas nacionales. El 88,9% presentaron algún nivel estrés al pretest. El sexo femenino presento una mayor frecuencia de estrés en alguno de sus niveles con el 46,4% estudiantes, en las I.E Nacionales se asocio a presentar por lo menos un nivel de estrés con 46,1% (p
