Educar en valores: un debate hacia la construcción de la escuela ciudadana.

The following text starts at conducting a brief itinerary towards the state-of-the-art education for values and the definition of educational values that were conceived by several societies and cultures. The initial intent approaches the need for definition of the meaning of two conditionals: the act of teaching and the act of educating. We begin from the assumption that both are complementary. The former is connected to objectivity, the object of human actions, the latter complements itself in the human subjectivity. On the top of the discussion and faced with the historical reconstruction of basic social values, the meaning of values upon which contemporary society organizes itself was identified from the history of modern traditions (either religion, or layman phases in society). In this sense, education corresponds to the intent of promoting changes and attitudes of social subjects. The experience has shown that education by values in Brazilian educational legislation is a well defined theme, however still shortly developed in the routine of schools.Este texto recorre ao estado da arte na educação em valores e na definição do termo como ato educativo. A intencionalidade inicial aproxima-se da necessidade de definição do significado de duas condições: o instruir e o educar. Os dois são complementares; o primeiro está ligado à objetividade � o objeto da ação humana; o segundo está contido na subjetividade humana. Sobre o primeiro objeto se inclui a instrução, desde a escola básica à universidade, vão estruturando-se como meios próprios de sua transmissão. Devem, para tanto, utilizar-se de métodos técnicos e planejamento do tempo, dos recursos e de metodologias, da avaliação no âmbito escolar e também no seu entorno.Se empieza el texto haciendo un recorrido al estado del arte de la educación en valores y de definición del termino como acto educativo.
