The debate about Dollarization has gained relative importance in Latin America over the past years, and Colombia is not to be an exception. To those who are in favor and against, we add the ones that consider the discussion to be irrelevant. This article surveys the pros and cons to Dollarization, just as it reviews the international empirical evidence, and more over, its importance to the Colombian case.
