Since the beginnings of cinema, intense debate appeared. Speceally the avantgards took radical positions, rejecting it, embracing it, or incorporating into other disciplines resources inspired by it. The literary magazines of the early twentieth century were home to some of these discussiones. This article aims to relieve the presence of these debates in argentinan Martín Fierro magazine (1924-1927]), a key publication for the porteño artistic field.
