This study aims to describe the average consumer's profile for organic wine in region VIII. This type of wine is produced under strict control of chemical components through out its entire production process. The first part of this work presents a general description of the wine industry using secondary sources. In addition, in-depth interviews with wine experts were developed and an structured questionnaire was applied for descriptive variables in order to describe variables such as tastes and preferences, brand awareness, prices, distribution channels and finally perceptions on the potential for organic wines.
