The present article deals with the current conceptual delimitation of active reception used in educational settings for Media Literacy Education and Audience Research. In this essay the author discuses the empirical data obtained from the work with two research groups, formed to compare the level of specificity of children from different socioeconomic levels. The study analyzed the level of specificity of children�s active reception based on the nature of the content of TV programs.
