Pensamiento estratégico: herramienta de competitividad para una orientación gerencial del nuevo milenio.

The purpose of strategic thinking to help organizations in the exploration of future challenges, both predictable and unpredictable, rather than prepare them for possible only tomorrow. From there, the research developed, is an essay on the role of strategic thinking as a tool of competitiveness-oriented management of the new millennium, considering the theoretical basis of experts and Omaha (2004), Morrisey (2006), Porter (1999), among others. In this sense it is, that the methodology used for the study was descriptive and documentary, considering the hermeneutic for content analysis. Results demonstrate the competitive dynamics of organizations and markets manifest conduct under which they are best suited to the environment will be those that will endure. This is because, among other things, that are better equipped and prepared to face an environment of constant change and uncertainty. Characterized it, by reducing the life cycles of products, permanent changes in the needs and tastes of consumers, as well as the quality and timeliness of information available.El propósito del pensamiento estratégico es ayudar a las organizaciones, en la exploración de los desafíos futuros, tanto previsibles como imprevisibles, más que preparar a las mismas para un posible mañana único. De allí, que la investigación que se desarrolla, constituye un ensayo sobre el papel del Pensamiento estratégico como herramienta de competitividad orientada a la gerencia del nuevo milenio, considerando el sustento teórico de expertos como Omahe (2004), Morrisey (2006), Porter (1999), entre otros. En ese sentido se tiene, que la metodología utilizada para el estudio, fue de tipo descriptiva y documental, considerando la hermenéutica para el análisis del contenido. Los resultados evidencian la dinámica competitiva de las organizaciones y de los mercados manifiesta un comportamiento según el cual, las que mejor se adapten al entorno serán las que perdurarán en el tiempo. Esto debido, entre otras cosas, a que son las que están mejor equipadas y preparadas para enfrentar un ambiente de constante cambio e incertidumbre. Caracterizándose los mismos, por la reducción de los ciclos de vida de los productos, las variaciones permanentes de las necesidades y gustos de los consumidores, además de la calidad y rapidez de la información disponible
