Generación @ la juventud en la era digital

The present essay is an attempt to formulate a theoretical model of the contemporary transformations of youth culture. This model focuses on the transformations of the concept of time and on the modalities of cultural consumption of young people. Because it is not easy to conceptualize the tendencies of change happening today, we chose to reflect using a series of metaphors that can be useful for rethinking the contradictory profiles of this process. We are going to use the metaphor of the clock as a symbol and an instrument to measure the passing of time, because it illustrates different strategies of cultural construction of youth biographies.El presente ensayo es un intento de formular un modelo teórico sobre las transformaciones contemporáneas en la cultura juvenil, que fija su mirada en los cambios en las concepciones del tiempo y en las modalidades del consumo cultural de los jóvenes. Puesto que no resulta fácil conceptualizar tendencias de cambio en curso, preferimos reflexionar a partir de una serie de metáforas, que pueden servirnos para repensar los perfiles contradictorios de este proceso. Nos basaremos en la metáfora del reloj, como símbolo e instrumento para medir el paso del tiempo, pues ilustra distintas estrategias de construcción cultural de las biografías juveniles
