Recent studies have shown that language influence on syntactic-pragmatic interface may be a relevant factor in explaining subject realization in bilingualism. Overt and non-overt subject realizations were studied in three children, two bilingual children (English-Spanish and Spanish-Catalan) and a monolingual child learning Spanish. Each argument was categorized according to pragmatic and discourse criteria. It was hypothesized that (1) the English-Spanish child would produce more overt subjects than the other two children, and (2) that less informative referents would be more related with overt subjects.
