In the present times, the presence of audiovisual media is undeniable in student literacy processes of any level. It may not be the only one, but television is surely the most popular medium and possibly the one with the most detrimental consequences to the academic habits of students of different generations. It has been recognized that the problem is not the device itself, but rather, its contents; for this matter, it is reasonable to think of television as a literacy tool.
