Educación de las adolescentes embarazadas: una función de enfermería

The aim of the presently study was to determine the execution of the educational function from the infirmary personnel to the pregnant adolescent at the obstetric consultations of the Urban Outpatients Centers types III of the State of Lara. It is framed in the quantitative paradigm, not experimental and of cross section, fieldwork investigation. The population was made up by 1000 pregnant adolescents that attended the obstetric consultations distributed in the Urban Outpatients Centers types III. A probabilistic simple random sampling was applied and it covered 30% of the population. The gathering of the information was carried out by a questionnaire with dichotomic alternative answers (yes; no). This instrument was validated and the reliability was calculated by the coefficient of Kuder Richardson (KR-20), with a score of 0.88 in a highly reliable range. Conclusion: in the dimension primary care of the pregnant adolescent, the accomplishment of the educational function was excellently reached; and in relation to education of the pregnant adolescent for the integral care of their babies, the accomplishment was good, in spite of the lack of necessary time for such an end. With these results, workshops were carried out with the personnel of infirmary of each Urban Outpatients Center to promote strategies that can help to complete the educational function and improve the quality of the pregnant adolescents' life and the baby's integral care.En el presente estudio se planteo como finalidad determinar el cumplimiento de la función educativa del personal de enfermería a la embarazada adolescente en las consultas obstétricas de los Ambulatorios Urbanos tipos III del Estado Lara. Se enmarco en el paradigma cuantitativo, siendo una investigación de campo, no experimental y de corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 1000 embarazadas adolescentes que asistieron a las consultas obstétricas distribuidas en los Ambulatorios Urbanos Tipos III. Para la cual, se utilizo un muestreo aleatorio simple del tipo probabilística, que fue constituido por el 30% de la población. La recolección de la información, se realizo por medio de una encuesta tipo cuestionario, con alternativas de respuestas dicotómicas (SI; NO). Dicho instrumento fue validado y se calculó la confiabilidad por el coeficiente de Kuder Richarson (KR � 20), obteniéndose un grado de confiabilidad de 0,88 en el rango de altamente confiable. Se obtiene como conclusión, que en la dimensión al cuidado primario a la embarazada, fue excelente el cumplimiento de la función educativa, permitiendo determinar la realización de la misma; y en lo referente, al educar a la embarazada adolescente en el cuidado integral para su bebe, es bueno el cumplimiento, a pesar de no disponer con el tiempo necesario para tal fin. Al obtener los resultados se realizaron talleres con el personal de enfermería de cada ambulatorio, para promover estrategias que ayuden a cumplir la función educativa y mejorar la calidad de vida de las adolescentes embarazadas y el cuidado integral del niño
