Le texte littéraire algérien: brisures d'un imaginaire

Two major historical events: the falling of Grenada and the French occupation seem to be at the origin of the literary discourse in Algeria. Through their impact on the collective psyche, these two events provoked a complex of inferiority on the part of Algerians towards the Western World, a complex which was maintained through a chosen lexis. The same discourse is still produced towards Maghrebians. Therefore, whatever the theme or the context in which it is produced, since its birth, the Algerian text seems to be limited to this counter-discourse dimension in an attempt to disinfect and re-appropriate a cracked imagination to be used as a dialogic value in the universal discourse on humanity. The present paper attempts at putting forward this writing strategy of the Algerian text which aims at, plainly or not, dipping back farther and farther into the history of the Maghreb to better understand what was at the origins of the break of a collective imagination.Deux événements historiques majeurs : la chute de Grenade et l'occupation française nous semblent être à l'origine du discours littéraire algérien. Agissant sur l'inconscient collectif, ces deux évènements ont provoqué chez l'Algérien un complexe d'infériorité par rapport à l'Occident. Ce complexe fut entretenu par le discours colonial à travers un lexique choisi. Le même discours se produit encore dans la parole à l'adresse des Maghrébins. Dès lors, et quelle que soit sa thématique ou son contexte de production, depuis sa naissance à nos jours, le texte algérien semble se limiter à cette dimension de contre-discours pour tenter de désinfecter un imaginaire fissuré et se le réapproprier pour l'utiliser comme valeur dialogique dans le discours universel sur l'humanité. L'article que nous proposons tente de mettre en relief cette stratégie d'écriture du texte algérien qui tente, ouvertement ou non, de replonger de plus en plus loin dans l'histoire du Maghreb pour mieux comprendre ce qui fut à l'origine des brisures d'un imaginaire
