Taller DUM-DUM: técnicas para la interacción en grupo

This workshop will focus around a proposal on how to foster interculturality through musical rhythm, using our own body as an instrument. Our workshop will put into practice our paper which is entitled: "DUM-DUM: A program designed to promote inclusion through musical rhythm", in which through a participatory model we are able to experience music from another location, and be a creator, a performer and a listener at the same time. In this way, in our community we will feel more connected with one other. As we understand interculturality to be an interactive and living process among the members of a group (in our case the elementary classroom), we create spaces in which the values of members of different ethnicities may be improved by getting to know one another through music. This knowledge will lead us to build values and these will transform our attitudes and behavior. We believe that over and above the clichés that we attribute to each culture, people who make up a group are over and above these clichés, and we must learn to get to know them, in order to transform relations among them.El presente taller versará en torno a una propuesta sobre cómo trabajar la interculturalidad con el ritmo musical, utilizando nuestro propio cuerpo como instrumento musical. Pretendemos hacer un taller al hilo de nuestro artículo titulado: �DUM-DUM: Un programa diseñado para los problemas de inclusión a través del ritmo musical� donde mediante un modelo participativo podamos vivir la música desde otra posición: creador, intérprete y oyente al mismo tiempo; de esta forma comunitaria nos sentiremos más conectados unos con otros. Desde este punto de vista y entendiendo la interculturalidad como un proceso interactivo y vivo entre los miembros de un grupo (en nuestro caso el aula de primaria), creamos espacios donde los valores entre los miembros de diferentes etnias puedan mejorar utilizando el conocimiento de las personas a través de la música. El conocimiento nos llevará a construir valores y éstos transformarán nuestras actitudes y conducta. Estamos convencidos que por encima de los tópicos que podamos atribuirle a cada cultura, las personas que componen un grupo están por encima de estos clichés, y por ello debemos de aprender a conocerlas, para poder transformar las relaciones entre ellos
