In this article, we consider judicial information as a main trait in the democratization process of Latin American societies. For this right to be really effective, we must understand its specificity and the institutional and communicational values at stake. Usually, judicial rationality sets the frame in which Courts traditionally relate with civil society, but its logic is opposed to the one that rules media behavior. This structural tension needs, on the one hand, that courts design public communication policies that try to armonize them, and, on the other hand, an adequate framing by the press.
