This article tries to fill a vacant space of information about the rural and outlying areas of the Ancient Near East. This work is organized in a chronological way from the Neolithic period until the Iron Age. It will be mentioned firstly how rural areas can be defined. Then, in the chronological description, the discoveries of different rural places and the remains found there will be mentioned. It will observe how most of the information come from ceramic remains, precarious constructions, domestic utensils, tools, remains of foods, grains and animal bones.
