The sequence of the Low Guadalquivir, recently constructed, with a rich achelense stratified in the warehouses of his fluvial terraces from the beginning of the Average Pleistocene up to the Ancient Superior, places between the most complete of the Low peninsular Iberian Paleolithic and of the Mediterranean western euro-African arch. The present note accompanies the publication, in this and following numbers of CAREL, of the doctoral theses, geomorfológica of Baena 1993, and archaeological of Fernandez Caro 1998 and of Expensive Gómez 1999, sending to his study and with divulgative information of the academic context of investigation in the one that was elaborated and of the reached results.La secuencia del Bajo Guadalquivir, recientemente estructurada, con un rico achelense estratificado en los depósitos de sus terrazas fluviales desde el inicio del Pleistoceno Medio hasta el Superior Antiguo, se sitúa entre las más completas del Paleolítico Inferior peninsular ibérico y del arco mediterráneo occidental euro-africano. La presente nota acompaña la publicación, en este y siguiente números de CAREL, de las tesis doctorales, geomorfológica de Baena 1993, y arqueológicas de Fernández Caro 1998 y de Caro Gómez 1999, remitiendo a su estudio y con información divulgativa del contexto académico de investigación en el que se elaboraron y de los resultados alcanzados
