The morphology and anatomy of nutlets of Scutellaria minor are described with light and scanning electron microscopy, comparing the results obtained to those from other species of genus. The nutlets are characterized by a tuberculate-verrucose surface, the presence of slightly lignificated mesocarp cells, some of them with druses, and the absence of empalizade sclerenchymatic cell-layer, so characteristic in Lamiaceae. Also the presence of defined intercelular spaces in the mesocarp allow hidrochory (nautochory).Se describe la morfología y la anatomía de las núculas de Scutellaria minor tanto al microscopio óptico como al microscopio electrónico de barrido, compa-rando los resultados obtenidos con los de otras especies del género.
