Proposal: Use the cultural topography analytic framework to examine the bioethics of the scientific community in China. Apply this cultural analysis to determine the mpresentation guidelines and paradigms with which they approach emergent innovations in the biosphere and their applications to warfare, specifically manipulation of the human genome through embryonic gene editing (CRISPR) and applications to targeting and weapons systems. Identify aspects of the Chinese scientific community’s ethical standard that diverge from U.S. and international norms which will pose a threat to U.S. national security
