With heated debates in the media about the proposed southern border wall in the United States I wanted to better understand how the people living along the US/Mexico border really felt about the wall. My approach to answering this question was to mine large sets of twitter data from the cities along the border and analyze sentiment to understand if opinions on the wall were favorable, unfavorable or neutral.
