People spend up to 90 % of their time indoors. Indoor environment has a significant impact in one’s health, comfort and productivity. Only in Europe two million disability adjusted life years are lost every year due to poor indoor air quality. With only a 600 ppm increase in CO2 concentrations can cause a significant decrease in decision-making performance. It can be concluded that ventilation systems have an enormous impact on people’s health and wellbeing by contributing to the quality of indoor air.
