Norms and values have a central role in teaching and the school should contribute with this knowledge. How this is to be done is not concrete expressed in the curriculum and is therefore of importance to investigate more closely. The analysis of norms will be made from an intersectional perspective in order to be able to create a just picture of how social structures are created. By an intersectional perspective is meant that norms should be studied based on its interaction and not individually. This study examines which words are used in the production of the categories gender, ethnicity and class, and whether norms are presented as independent or dependent factors when explaining social structures.
