Reciprocal Frame Structures (RFS) are three-dimensional assembly systems made up of mutually supporting beams that form a closed structural circuit. Each and every element of a RFS supports and is supported by one other component of the structure. The reciprocity principle enables that the whole structural element can be considered as a potential joint, so we can create transformable geometry systems by modifying the mutual support points, without affecting the configuration rules. RFS are structures that summarize the total simplification of technique into pure geometry.
