This paper presents the evaluation of the Roadroid smartphone application, which has found, in the recent years, several applications, mainly on the local road networks in developing countries. An experiment was conducted that involved consecutive surveys using (i) bump integrator and (ii) Samsung Galaxy-II smartphone with the Roadroid application. The results tend to indicate the level and the domain of applicability of such an android-based smartphone application for low-cost and rapid road roughness evaluation on a specific part of the road network. Such applications can be of great use in country such is Serbia, where there is very limited historical data on the network condition
