Supervisor: Ing. Zdeněk Šmída. My master thesis is focused on the designing a four-stage air piston compressor by calculating the main dimension of the internal diameter with the given parameters. The paper is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the paper focuses mainly on the piston compressors and its divisions with their main parts and the energy transformations which occurs in these machines and also the energy transformation machines which emphasise the volume compressors and their division. The task in the practical part is to calculate the main dimensions and electrical consumption of the compressor by suggesting a suitable electrical motor. The practical part also includes the 2D design of the compressor and 3D assembly drawing of the working space with the help of the calculated main dimensions.Cecil Sundaram, Návrh čtyřstupňového vzduchového pístového kompresoru. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na návrh čtyřstupňového vzduchového pístového kompresoru pomocí výpočtu hlavních rozměrů na základě zadaných parametrů. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části se práce zaměřuje především na pístové kompresory a jejich rozdělení, hlavní části a na energetické transformace, které se v těchto strojích odehrávají, a také jsou zde popsány stroje na transformaci energie, kde jsou zdůrazněny objemové kompresory a jejich dělení. Úkolem praktické části je výpočet hlavních rozměrů a spotřeby elektrické energie kompresoru s návrhem vhodného elektromotoru. Součástí praktické části je také 2D návrh zapojení kompresoru a 3D schema pracovního prostoru pomocí vypočtených hlavních rozměrů.361 - Katedra energetikyvelmi dobř
