Noli Timere was commissioned in September 2013 for the Irish Literary Society in London within days of Seamus Heaney’s death. It commemorates the life and work of Heaney through readings of, and commentaries on, Heaney’s poetry, along with music and film. It incorporates filmed interviews by Dr Esther Armstrong with Professor Bernard O’Donoghue and Professor Roy Foster – close friends during his period as Oxford Professor of Poetry – along with extracts from Charlie McCarthy’s documentary, Out of the Marvellous, produced by Icebox Films for RTE on the occasion of the poet’s 70th birthday.
